In the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, by J.K Rowling, Harry Potter and his  friends Ron Wesley and Hermione Granger embark on a mission to get home to the castle of Hogwarts before time runs out. When they are walking along the grounds of the school from Quidditch practice a pirate ship appears from the lake out of a whirlpool and its crew says “come aboard me maties” and Ron says “OK”. Then Harry and Ron find themselves in the dungeon. Will harry and Ron make it? Will they come out alive? I recommend this book to people that love excitement and mystery, for example, when Harry potter get called for fourth champion and doesn’t know who did it, and now he will haft to fight for his life. Will Harry win? Will Harry make it out alive? Or will he be killed? I recommend this book to people that love excitement, mystery and fantasy.

Bad Kitty School Daze

February5

In this book there is a lot of humor. The main character is named Bad Kitty. Bad Kitty and Puppy were sent to school but they did not want to go to school. The teacher’s name  is Mrs.Dee. There is this bully named Petunia. She hates kittens and Bad Kitty is in trouble.

This is the another book is the Bad Kitty series. Bad Kitty always gets into trouble and it is always funny.  This reminds me a little about diary of a wimpy kid series.

If you like humor then this book is right for you.

Five Nights At Freddy’s(FNAF), The Silver Eyes

Five Nights At Freddy’s(FNAF), The Silver Eyes

by:Scott Cawthon and Kira Breed Wrisley

The story is about a girl named Charlie haunted by her past, including the murders that happened in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Even her friend Michael was killed. Along with her other friends, they find out the secrets of Freddy’s.  I like that they put a character named Michael because in FNAF, there is a character (you play as him in FNAF 1) named Mike (Michael) (unless it’s trying to be like the Michael Afton from FNAF 3). I would recommend this book if …

A:You like a good horror story

B:You like a partial tragedy

C:If you just like FNAF

Captain Underpants  and the Wrath of the Wicked Wedgie Woman

Captain Underpants  and the Wrath of the Wicked Wedgie Woman  By Dav Pilkey

There are two characters, named George and Harold. The boys create comics and get into lot of trouble. They are in 5th grade and they have a really mean homeroom teacher, Mrs.Rebel. They also have a mean principal named Mr.Krupp. The boys mess up a teacher’s retirement party and make a lot of poor choices.

George and Harold remind me of me because sometimes I don’t behave and I like drawing comics. The series is creative, and I am too.

I recommend this book to people that are creative and like non fiction.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: the Last Straw

Diary of a Wimpy Kid : The Last Straw

By: Jeff Kinney

Greg is your typical 5th grader.  He HATES school and likes a girl named Holly Hills. He tries to impress her by telling her jokes but it does not work. His dad wants Greg to be manly and tried to get him into sports. But Greg LOVES video games like any 5th grader would. He and his friend Rowley are both  waiting for this new game that is coming out but Greg’s mom made this reading club that is trying to keep kids away from video games. Greg’s mom doesn’t even ask Greg if he wants to go there, she just signed him up anyway. Then about 1 week in to the club all of the other kids left, and now it is only Rowley and Greg. Then Rowley leaves.  Now it’s only Greg in the group. Then Greg’s mom introduces the book  “Charlotte’s Web” and he has to read 30 pages a night but he does not like to do that.  Instead, he reads comics.

Greg reminds me of when I went to Hershey for a tournament and one of my hockey friend’s brother played video games a lot there.

I would recommend this series and book to all 5th graders because of the humor and the way of life in Greg’s world

The Hobbit

The Hobbit

J.R.R. Tolkien

Bilbo Baggins is an ordinary, well liked, and respected hobbit. Living in a beautiful hobbit hole in Hobbiton, he is very generous with his large inheritance. Like all hobbits, Bilbo likes things that are simple, obvious, and straightforward. Little does Bilbo know that a, well, unexpected party is looking for a burglar, and Bilbo fits the description. This company of dwarves is led by Thorin, son of Thrain, son of Thror, king under the Mountain and is looking to reclaim the Kingdom of Dale in the lonely mountain. This Kingdom was taken by Smaug the dragon and what was once a happy, merry place is now a lair to a evil beast! Bilbo surprises even himself by agreeing to come along and is soon swept into an adventure that would change him forever. Fighting giant spiders, Orcs and Wargs are the least of it. In his adventures, he finds himself in dark tunnels in the lonely mountain, where he stumbles upon a strange magic ring that is more important than he could ever have guessed…

“Go back?” he thought. “No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!” – Bilbo Baggins. Riddles in the Dark.

I can relate to Bilbo as he is first confused about his adventure, and doubts himself in the ways he can help. After the dwarves drag him into the adventure, they help him start to believe in himself and be confident with his talents. They show him he can help, and that he is appreciated. My friends help me when I think I can’t do something, which is often, and help me see that I can, and help me persevere through everything.

I recommend this book to all who love adventure, fantasy, and bravery. It is a great book for kids in middle school, as it’s pretty easy to follow and will make you want to read more. It is great for somebody looking for a series, as it leads to the famous Lord of the Rings, and will keep you hooked.

Woof

Woof

By: Spencer Quinn

Birdie lives in Louisiana. For Birdie’s birthday she gets a little surprise. Birdie and her trusty friend go on amazing and thrilling adventures. They meet some people who are shady and her friend has a weird feeling about it. Something has been stolen from her grandmother’s fish and bait shop and they’re on a mission to find who did it. Later they get caught in a really bad life or death situation without knowing what is going to happen next.

Birdie reminds me of one of my friends. She is very outspoken and loves a good adventure. She is willing to find what she is looking for and does whatever she can to help. She is also never scared to say what is on her mind. She is a very ambitious character.

I recommended this book to people who love adventure and want to be sucked into a good book. Also to follow the character and feel what they are doing. I also recommend this to people that love a good friend relationship and love juicy books. This is a great book for people who want to never put down an good book, and want a book that will keep you busy.

The keeper

THE KEEPER

By Tim Howard

Image result for the keeper tim howard

If you like soccer and autobiographies you will want to read this book.  This book is about what Tim Howard went through to be a goalie. He tells about when he was a kid and had tourette’s syndrome. Being a goalie helped Tim overcome his TS.

I liked this book because it was easy to read because he wrote like he was actually telling you it.
