Her name is Elizabeth Nickname: Liz. Liz is a very adventurous girl. A few weeks later Liz and Marlee became best friends. Then one day Liz was not at school then the mean girl sally said I think i saw her yesterday holding a black kids hand. Then the next day Marlee went to the zoo to see if Liz was there Marlee saw a strange person sitting on the bench it was Liz! Soon it was Halloween Liz and Marlee were supposed to go trick or treating together. When Marlee was on her way she bumped into  Liz. Liz was with her little brother Tommy when they saw the big bully RED with his younger brother James Thomas(JT) they were throwing eggs at Marlee’s old teacher. A little while later Tommy was at baseball practice and Liz and Marlee went to the rock crusher Red and JT followed them and Red pushed Marlee ave and Marlee hit her knee on something. What? Where The Sidewalk Ends

March26

One of my favorite books is Where the Sidewalk Ends.  It is a book of poems. My favorite poem in the book is Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me Too.  This poem rhymes, and as soon as you start reading it you want to read the whole poem! Not all poems rhyme or are funny but they all seem to tell their own short story.

Giant Days Volume.2

March26

Giant Days Volume.2

In this story, friends Susan, Esther, and Daisy are in  college and are trying to find their meaning in life. Esther and Susan both deal with hard relationships. Daisy is single and looking  for a girlfriend. In the end they all realized that friendship can make everything better.

This is Volume 2 of a 46 part series. This book reminds me of the show friends because they all deal with hard relationship and the 6 friends stick together just like Esther, Susan and Daisy.

I would recommend this book for readers that are 10 and up because in some parts there are a little grown-up scenes that little kids wouldn’t under stand.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Hard Luck

March26

This book is about this boy named Greg and he writes in his diary. I think it is a great book for kids who like comedy and a little bit of drama.

Part of this book is about this kid named Rowley and he has a girlfriend named Abigail. And Rowley says to Abigail happy nine and a half anniversary.

It is mainly a graphic novel for who ever likes graphic novels. I think this is a good book for 3 grade and up. And this boy named Many has this blanket named tingie. Another part of the book is gregory when he was little he went to his aunt’s house and went downstairs and burned himself and they never trusted his aunt again and this was when he was little. In conclusion i think whoever likes this book review should read the book.

Pegasus and the Flame of Olympus

By: Kate O’hearn

Pegasus lives on Olympus and has a war with the Niraads. The Nirads are looking to extinguish the Flame of Olympus. If the Nirads do succeed they will destroy all of Olympus and the Roman gods. Pegasus must fly off to find the daughter of Vestia to sacrifice herself to light the flame before it’s too late. Pegasus lands on the roof of a girl named Emily. Emily will try to help her new friend Pegasus to find Vestia’s daughter to save Olympus with her friends, but the CRU is not happy in what they see of Pegasus. What will happen if the CRU find them? Will they light the flame? Anything could happen on Olympus.

This book is a series called Pegasus there are many good books in the series that bring thrills. Percy Jackson is kinda like Emily.  As you learn about Emily you will come across the same bravery, loyalty and strength as Percy. This book has ROMAN mythology so you will hear about Jupiter who is Zeus, Diana who is Artemis.

I recommend this book for  ages from 9 and up Fantasy readers and lovers of the Percy Jackson series. This book is full of adventures and Roman myths that come true.

The Westing Game

February5

The Westing Game

by Ellen Raskin

This book is filled with mystery. It involves A man who is “dead” and a young mastermind girl. He seems to be great at chess and never has lost a game. For his “funeral” he picks 16 unlikely people to gather for the reading of Sam Westing’s will. Yet no one knows why Sam  Westing chose a complete stranger and a possible murderer to inherit his grand fortune. One thing’s for certain Sam Westing may be dead…but that will NOT stop him from playing one last game.

This is the first mystery I’ve ever read.  If you end up reading this book and it’s the first mystery you have ever read then you will forever love mystery novels.

If you enjoy reading suspense, mystery, and a little bit of humor I assure you that you will love this book. I recommend this book to kids 9 and up because if you are under the age of 9 you will most likely not understand it.

Wringer

March23

Wringer by Jerry Spinelli

Main characters in the story are Parmal, his mom, and his friends Beans, Mudo, and Hando. When Parmal’s dad was a kid he won the contest for wringing the neck of the most birds.

Parmal didn’t want to wring the necks of birds.  He was more interested in helping injured birds than killing them.  It is a tradition that when the boys turn 10 they wring the necks of the pigeons.  Will Parmal have to wring their necks or can he break with tradition?
